What are Chakras
Since, the ancient time it is emphasized that the human body exists in two forms: the physical body and the subtle body. Physical body is what you can see through your eyes, subtle body is non-physical. Master Deepak Ji explains chakras are a part of the subtle body. They are the energy centres of the body, where the energy channels of the body called nadi meet. It is believed to be your Nadi through which your life force is controlled. As you channelize your chakras, your body will automatically feel uplifted and full of energy. Balancing chakras in other sense signifies revitalizing your energy levels.
The subtle body is termed to have seven chakras. These seven chakras stretch from the tailbone (base of the spine) to just above the head. The seven constituting zones of energy with the body are:
- Root chakra:
Location: tailbone (base of the spine)
- Sacral or pelvic chakra:
Location: Below the belly button (lower abdomen)
- Solar plexus chakra:
Location: Around the point where the ribs meet in the middle of your abdomen
- Heart chakra:
Location: Center of the chest, on the breast bone
- Throat chakra:
Location: In the Adam’s apple area (in throat)
- Third eye chakra:

How can I balance my chakras?
You simply need to follow certain simple practices, in order to balance your chakras and lead a high life condition. Including a self-care routine, is what is required for the harmonization of body and mind.
Master Deepak Ji suggests the following practices to cleanse and balance the chakras:
- Meditation: Each chakra corresponds to a particular color as detailed above. All you need to do is visualize the chakras glowing bright corresponding to their colors. Imagine yourself in a subtle mode with chakras starting from the Root chakra (positioned at the tailbone), extending up to Crown chakra (positioned just above the head). Envisage the chakras as blooming flowers. So, once you feel the flower is opening into full bloom, you can move to next chakra and meditate in a similar manner.
- Acupuncture: For this practice, you need to visit an acupuncturist, who will trigger the energy enhancing points in your body. These points relate to your chakras, thus, stimulating the points will help open, cleanse and balance the energy levels in the body.
- Yoga: Yoga is considered a beneficial practice, helping you achieve that balancing of chakras. Specific poses of yoga work in favor of your chakras. e.g. if you practice the tree pose, you will be able to manifest your root chakra, similarly, camel pose will help stimulate your heart chakra.
Master Deepak Ji suggests switching over to these practices and basing them with your chakras, will help you gain benefits for your body and mind. You will experience a healthy and balanced life.
